Between 1945 and 1960 Senpan authored a series of picture books entitled Kanchū Kanbon (i.e., Leisure Time Leisure Books). One of these books, entitled Noyama Zasso Chō (i.e., Booklet of Weeds) included the fourteen pictures of flowers shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Senpan used a creative drawing style for these pictures and the identity of a picture’s subjects is not always clear.
